Contest Time! Send Us Your Best Poppy Pictures

It’s time to grab your camera and enter Legion Magazine’s Poppy Photo Contest. We’re looking for great photos of the flower that serves as the universal symbol of remembrance. Where you find that perfect shot is entirely up to you; it could be in your backyard garden or on the old battlefields of Northwest Europe. The first-, second- and third-place winners will have the honour of being published in Legion Magazine’s November/December issue in time for Remembrance Day.
The contest is open to all readers. Submissions, however, must reach our office no later than Sept. 18, 2009. They must also adhere to the following technical specifications. All photos sent by e-mail must be in JPEG format and the file size must not exceed 5 MB.
We anticipate a high volume of submissions, and so photos won’t be returned. You can send your photos by e-mail, magazine@legion.ca or by regular post, Legion Magazine, 86 Aird Place, Kanata, ON, K2L 0A1. Please be sure to provide your full name, address and daytime phone number. Good luck!
